If you are considering adopting a dog from Indigo's Rescue Ranch, 

we recommend:

• Discuss adopting a dog with all members of your family.
• Consider the financial requirements of properly caring for an animal.
• If you are renting your home, obtain your landlord's permission to bring an animal onto the property.  The number one reason cited for pet surrender at shelters is landlord issues.
